This unit aims to introduce you to contemporary PR, advertising and marketing communication concepts that underpin businesses and organisations operating in private, public and third sector environments today. The unit will also equip you with the knowledge and skills required for developing your skills as a PR and communications professional in digital environments, including web, social and mobile. The unit will help you to develop an understanding of the way different communication disciplines interact to deliver the notion of ‘brand’ via what is often referred to as ‘integrated marketing communication’. As well as the opportunities afforded by digital communication, the unit also considers the dangers of instant communication to organisational reputation and how this is being managed in professional practice.

Elemental assessment – The assessment for this unit is weighted. In element-based assessment, you must achieve at least an E grade in each assessment, and an aggregate grade of at least a D- in the overall unit.Failure (F, or F-), or non-submission in any element defaults to Fail for the unit.  澳洲市场营销论文代写

Project 

Element 1 (E1)

A group presentation in class of a marketing communications plan in MS PowerPoint or other slide format for an organisation of your choice. The presentation will be delivered synchronously on 8th June 2022, at a time to be specified in Moodle and attendance is mandatory and all group members must present.

This plan should be in the form of a PowerPoint document of a minimum of 12 slides and should provide the following:

  • A (brief) analysis of the business environment – key external and internal factors that have affected the brand’s overall performance;
  • A review of the organisation’s current Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) objectives(strategy) and activity (tactics);
  • A set of viable recommendations for the period 1 July – 31 December 2022 in relation to a maximum of three IMC objectives; and
  • A schedule for implementation of the IMC plan which includes some detail of actions and timings.

Element 2 2 (E2)

An individual reflective report, which should reflect on the relationship between organisational theory,marketing communications tools and the practical challenge of creating an integrated communications plan. The report should critically analyse the way organisations communicate, and the challenges faced by the communications professionals who advise them.

This report should provide the following:

  • A critical discussion of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) objectives (strategy) and activity (tactics);
  • An in-depth reflection on the main challenge(s) posed by IMC planning, its various stages and its execution in the chosen context; and

A key lesson learned fully supported by the empirical and theoretical evidence provided in the report
