Your grade in the module is based on three components, the majority of which is associated with the completion of a project of your own design. Over the last few weeks, I have (re)introduced you to some of the basic functions and tools of GIS using ArcMap to illustrate. The purpose of the project is to allow you to employ GIS to study some aspect of Geography.

The completed project itself should have the following parts: GIS Outline代写
- A clear area of study that requires geographic databases that must be acquired and/or generated.
- Some academic readings and/or reports that places your work in a context.
- A set of operations that are used to analyze these data using management, editing and geoprocessing tools.
- Maps, graphs and tables to support your writing report.
The final report itself should be about 3000 words long, not including 4. above. I will provide a template for the report. GIS Outline代写
The outline should be 750-1000 words long and should identify the subject of your project, the data that you will gather and the types of an analysis you expect to complete. The list of potential datasets should be presented in a table and linked to the information that they will provide. This information should include the title of the database, the source, and relevant metadata (date, resolution, etc.). I would also suggest that you complete a simple flow diagram to illustrate how you will complete your analysis study (see the example from the lecture). You should provide at least one reference to an academic paper or report that you will use to support your work.
