Assignment description
You will choose a language test or an alternative language assessment activity that you are familiar with or you have access to. This can be an international or a local test/assessment activity (with the exclusion of IELTS and TOEFL). Your task is to review the test by describing and critically evaluating it based on Bachman and Palmer’s (1996) qualities of test usefulness: construct validity – reliability –authenticity – interactiveness – impact – and practicality. In addition, you should conduct a brief, semi-structured interview (either in person or through email) with either a developer or user of the language assessment you are reviewing, and incorporate their feedback into your report where appropriate. In your report, ensure that you maintain the confidentiality of the interviewee unless s/he has waived her/his right to confidentiality.

Word count
Your assignment should be a minimum of 2,500 words and a maximum of 3,000 words in length. This
word count applies ONLY to section 3 in the format described before (i.e., table of contents and
appendices are excluded.)
